Oatmeal Chip Cookies

1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. water
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
3 cups oatmeal
1 package chocolate chips
opt. nuts
(If you want to try something a little different, try adding a little cinnamon to the batter.)

Cream sugars, and butter. Add vanilla, water and eggs. Cream again. Then sift flour, soda, and salt and add to mixture. Mix well. Add oatmeal and chocolate chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

This is another recipe from the Koosharem Ward Relief Society Cook Book. There are some great cooks in Koosharem. I did make a few changes to the recipe, nothing that really changes the cookie though.

I just made some similar cookies Wednesday night! They were really good. And thanks to the oatmeal I felt no guilt in eating nearly all of them myself - oatmeal boosts your milk supply when you're nursing!! LOL .... at least that's what I'm telling myself!!
